During the summer months, we like to prepare an iced coffee concentrate just before Shabbos. Then during the long, hot Sabbath day, we just add some milk for a delicious ice coffee treat.
4 cups water
8 tsp. instant coffee granules
8 tsp. sugar or the equivalent amount of artificial sweetener
1. Bring water to a boil. Add instant coffee and sugar. Stir until dissolved. Cool.
2. Pour into a large pitcher. Store in the refrigerator.
3. Just before serving, add milk.
Pour coffee into ice cube trays and freeze to make coffee ice cubes. Serve these coffee ice cubes in the iced coffee.
Leave time for coffee to cool.
